Polylithic | Release Date Announcement Trailer
Hello, fellow tribe members! After lots of questionable choices, and way too much coffee...
Polylithic 1.0 is coming on August 25th!
It's honestly a bit surreal to finally write those words. When I started this project, I just wanted to make my first proper video game using assets I had been creating for game developers and to show them it was possible. ..well, kinda is.
As first-time game developers and total noobs, my friends and I made a lot of decisions at the start that we may not have made today, decisions that bit us like a sabertooth. But here we are, and to those who stuck with me this long, thank you. Seriously.
In case you missed our previous announcement, we have taken your feedback and our own thoughts about Polylithic and have some really great additions to the game. I'm really excited for you to see the new Release Date Trailer we've made.
New Features to look for
More character customization. Get stylish. It's the Stone Age, somehow.
Hunger & Body System. Eat mammoth, become mammoth.
Emotes. Dance around the campfire. Annoy everyone.
Yell. Scare animals. Wake your tribe. Cause problems.
New story moments.
Smarter AI. Slightly.
A new nightmare minigame: Cooking with generated recipes.
A best friend pet. Dog or hyena. Your choice.
Enemy tribes.
New items, weapons, and mushrooms.
A whole lot of optimization.
More weird prehistoric nonsense.
Full patch notes coming with the release. (It's a lot.)
So... what is Polylithic?
Polylithic is not prehistoric Valheim or Fortnite.
I wanted to make a survival game that's more colorful, a little chaotic, and hopefully makes you smile as a bunch of hyenas chases you. Every prehistoric game is brown. Why should Polylithic?
Here's what you can expect:
Run a tribe. Ruin prehistory.
Gather tribe members, expand your settlement, invent new technologies, and slowly turn a bunch of cavemen into a slightly more organized bunch of cavemen.
The Stone Age, no instructions included
Hunt, craft, explore, fight giant creatures, and try not to become lunch.
Embrace the chaos
Cook awful food for everyone. Wear ridiculous outfits. Yell at wildlife. Make questionable life choices. That's the spirit of Polylithic.
I want to hear from you!
